TOPIC : "Hosted by Safer Seas 2011, ENSTA Bretagne organizes a specialized workshop dedicated to ship design, regulations and direct structural calculations. It will focus on the scientific advances aiming at enhancing the ship safety by processing the main factors responsible for structural failures. This workshop will more specifically deal with the integration into design criteria of phenomena such as fatigue, slamming, sloshing or buckling, as well as with the prospects for the design of future ships in terms of regulations. The workshop will be based on joint-contributions of classification societies, major actors from the shipbuilding industry, and research institutes developing dedicated programs."
